Give Thanks

This week, people celebrate a Thanksgiving day. It is a time to give thanks to the Lord who created heaven and earth. It is easy for us to give thank when everything is went well. When we have what we desired. But still many people found it is hard to give thanks. Especially in this time, when a global crisis happened and affect our life. I have heard some stories because of it. People suicide and some are in the very difficult situation now worry if they will be terminated from their work because of the crisis.

Let us think for a while. Just have a time to think how many good things that God has given to us. Think about the day that He has given, people that stand behind us supporting what we are doing now. Our family and friends are people that we can give thanks for. How are they keep on beside you, supporting you and accepting you even when you failed. How precious are them. Then the new day that God creates; sun, moon, stars, trees, animals and all of our surrounding. What a beautiful day that we have everyday. How much more when God sent His only Son Jesus to die for you?

Isn't enough reason for us to give thanks?? What if we don't have all of that anymore? Everyday looks very dark and boring. Give thanks in all time because God is Good all the time.

Will I survive???

Will I survive?? Perhaps you will have the same question also. Looking back to what God had done for us and our current situation right now, really make me think about this question: "Will I survive?" Why that we have to go through this situation again?? All the past experiences are not enough for us??? Those questions bothering me these few days.

Today, as I went to our cell group meeting. We learned about faith and trusting God. God reminds me something. He reminds me about why did He send me out. Many prophecy told that our journey will be like Joshua and Caleb. Just like Israelites walked through the wilderness. They walked with God and always enough even in the wilderness. But why don't all of them enter the Canaan, only Joshua and Caleb could make it. Only two of them survive.

I know that God has called us to walk through the journey that He has for us. It seems that we are gone through the wilderness, and have to reach the Canaan. I was reminded that we still in that journey and God is with us. We need to grow in our faith and believe that there is "Canaan" at the end of this journey. It is not an easy task though in fact many give up. We have to reach the end of this journey.

Yes, faith that believe even when we never see it. Believe that God is with us even in the wilderness. Believe that with Him we can overcome the "giant" in our journey. Believe that there will be a blessing in our obedience.

Will I survive? It depends on how much I trust Him and having faith in Him. Just like Joshua and Caleb, they focus on God's promise and they arrive in the PROMISE LAND.

Keep on moving.....no matter your surrounding, fix your eyes to the PROMISE LAND....then you will get there......

Yes.....I Can...You Can....We Can.....

Have you ever taught how Jesus choose His disciple? Why didn't he choose some one who is educated and trained well ? Aren't it that most of his disciple fisherman? Even He chose Judas Iscariot "a thief" to be one of the twelve and lastly betray Him. When Jesus chose His disciple; He just came back from wilderness and has overcome Satan. As I ask my self about what Jesus did, there are few questions pop up in my mind. What are the criteria that Jesus apply? How come He chose those who untrained to convey His Great Mission?

He knew from the beginning who will become His disciple. He chose those who are "uncounted" according to this world. A person who does not have what this world has. He did opposite way. Later on, these disciple become "History Maker" that could able to convey His Great Commission.

Just as we are, when we are called to be His disciple. We are nothing from the beginning. He chooses us not because what we have done or who we are; He chooses us because He loves us and He wants that His Glory to be revealed through us. Often times, I ask God: "Why me??? Why not he or she?? He even better than me......"

Just as Rev. Reinhard Bonke says in his preaching that we are just big zero (0) and Jesus is the number one (1). When we close after Him then it will become 10, then another will close it will be 100, 1000, 10000, 100000..........He makes us valuable, because He died for us. If I stand alone, then I am nothing just ZERO (o).

Then, I said to my God; "If you have chosen me, then I want to be a History Maker. I do not want to be an ordinary person." It seems ambitious but I know with Whom that I am walking with. No matter what people said, I still want to be History Maker. Remember that this month we have witnessed an impossible thing just happened. A first Black American has been chosen as a President of United State of America. It is impossible from the beginning but It is Possible. A new history has been created, just like Obama said; "Chance can Happen". Indeed it happened.

Just remain on what God has put in our heart. He chose you and me because He has a task that we need to complete. Remain faithful, obey and be alert till the end. He never care about who you are and what is your background. He only care that He has chosen you to be History Maker.

Yes....I can...You can...We can....

Now We Know

God's time is the perfect time. That is true, because we experience it. Do you remember when we have to separate because of visa problem. At first, we were confused; It was unfair for us. We fight and it seems that God led something uncomfortable happen in our life. Eva had to go back to Indonesia. We questioned God why that He led this happen.

Last two weeks, we heard that Eva's mother sick. It was an old sickness and the doctor there can't really tell what is the sickness. So they have to bring her to Jogyakarta from Bangka Island for a better medication. When she arrived there, she has to be hospitalized and Eva spends her time with her. It was not on the plan before and God just make it on time. There is no body available for taking care of her. All her children are busy and only Eva's brother stay in Jogyakarta. This is why God sent Eva back to Indonesia.

Yes, we confirmed that. It is because Eva has to spend her time with her mother and taking care of her. The most important thing that we pray so God can do His miracle for saving her mother and all the family. Her mother has not become born again yet. It is out pray that God will use this time for it.

Now we know that God never do a mistake. He made everything just on His Time. He can always find the reason to let something happen in our life.

My 1st anniversary with my lovely hubby

And my life now bisa dikatakan kayak gitu.

Aku beljar banyak dari my hubby.

for my lovely hubby, thanks for being de one who always there when I need u. U teaches me many things. I always excited to see how God will send miracles to our small family cos I know for sure that there will be always miracles on covenant in Christ

My E=mc2, you are my lovely man forever.... Pelolope, happy anniversary ya.....

The FIRST Anniversary of E=MC2

November 4, 2007 in Yogyakarta we had our wedding officially held in front of God and His people. It was the prove of God's miracle. We saw how God worked and made all those things possible. E=MC2; Emil + Eva= Miracle of the Covenant in Christ.

Today we celebrate our FIRST anniversary, what a wonderful moment. Although we are separated in this moment but we confirm that God is in control of our marriage, our family. Looking back what He has done really make us full of abundant praises to our God. HE is REALLY a GOOD GOD.
We start our family in the mids of our adventure and our journey in following God's will in our life. Philippines was the first place we went right after our wedding ceremony. Trusting God that He will never forsake us. Indeed, it was TRUE. We spent each day as Miracle Day walk with Our God. There is no enough word to describe how God works in our life.

God is not stop there, He led us to Tainan. It was far beyond our imagination that we can come to Tainan, Taiwan. Looking at our situation that time, it seems impossible. But again our God has prove that NOTHING impossible with HIM. He made everything beautiful in His Time. This included when we discovered that Eva's visa is non-extendable. We questioned God, why does He let this happen? We found that still He is under control. Back to our covenant (E=MC2), we realize that Miracle happened when we fully hold our covenant in HIM. No matter is the real situation, we have to stick on it.

Yes, we are separated today for a while. This will not make us lose our vision. We have agreed that we will fight till the end, till we see God's Glory reveal through our family. The Journey is still there....what ever happen a long it...just believe that Emmanuel; God with us. There will be more Miracles in the next coming years.....

!!!!Happy FIRST Anniversary!!!!!

In His Time...

Horray...It's time for refreshing....

That's must be a good news for everybody. Yes, we need to take a refreshing time in our life. We are not a machine....even a machine needs sometimes for cooling down. Take a time to rest...then work again after it.

As I stay here in Tainan, I observed how people here behave. I notice that most of people here use their time properly. Why??? It is hard to find a traditional Taiwanese restaurant open if it is not eating time. One time I was very hungry because I did not take my lunch, then I tried to find some restaurant near by but all of them closed. They just open during eating time, lunch from 11 am till 2pm and dinner from 5pm till 8pm. Outside that time range, you will never find some food there.

As I think about it, I think God also work that way. He has His time for us. It is on order and never late or too early. The problem is do we know when is His time for our life? How do we connect to Him and know His time for us exactly. It's common for us to complain like I did when I came in not in the "eating time"; No food there. Nothing....

So, if we want to find "the food" come on time. God always on time, never late or too early. Just as the lyrics of this song:

In His time, in His time,
He makes all thing beautiful in His time.
Lord, my life to You I bring,
May each song I have to sing,
Be to You a lovely thing, in Your time.

In Your time, in Your time,
You make all thing beautiful in Your time.
Lord, my life to You I bring,
May each song I have to sing,
Be to You a lovely thing, in Your time.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

A New History has Made

We have made a new history here in Tainan, Taiwan. Started with a longing desire to see Indonesian Christian Students gather, we were trying to organize an event for it. Using the momentum of "Tainan Tour with students from Taichung" we formed KeluargA mahasisWA Kristiani Indonesia di TAiwan (KAWANKITA). We called our selves a family which are consist of Christian and Catholic students.

Last Saturday, Oct 25, 2008. We have made the first ever KAWANKITA fellowship. There were 22 students attended. They came from NCKU and STUT. It was surprised for a quite big number attended that meeting. We had wonderful time togerther, praising God and enjoying get to know each other. Overall, It was fun and enjoyable. We all agreed that we will continue this fellowship and had some of us take in charge about it.

It was ended well and everybody enjoy it. Thanks guys for all your hard work...keep be a History Maker in His story.

What will You do??

Hey I wanna share something that happened to me last Friday night. As usual, I spent some time till night doing my business. Then it reached 2 am and I felt sleepy. I went out to the bathroom planning to brush my teeth. Then, when I am back; I forget that my key was inside the room. I could not get in. It was 2.30 am and everybody was sleeping that time. In fact, my room mate is not here, he went back home to his country.

I felt very embarrassing, angry and I do not know how to express it. So, I was locked outside my room. It was Saturday early morning when everybody slept and dorm manager was not here because it is Saturday. I tried many ways to open my door. I used any tool that I found, knife, spoon, etc. It was so tired, I wanted to sleep but I cant go inside. I did try for almost 2 hours to open the door. But, It was too hard to open it from the outside. I gave up, then I went down to the TV room trying to watch TV till morning. I felt very sleepy....need to sleep. I met some friends, hoping they will ask me to sleep in their room but they only told me to meet the dorm assistant and asked about the key. I went to his room trying to knock but still no answer...I think it was too early in the morning.

Finally, I really give up. I decided to wait till morning..maybe somebody will go out and help me. 6.30 am, I tried to knock again in the dorm assistant room but it was not his room. It was another student' room. Then he helped me to call security guard. The guard came in but he has no key...oh my...still can't open the door. I waited again...till around 7.00 am I went to the dorm assistant room hoping that he will give me a key or at least some suggestions. Ehm...finally someone open the door..somebody came out...but he said a very bad words to me...I knew that I might disturb him but I was very tired and I need to sleep... I said..I am sorry...I need to go inside my room but now key. Then the dorm assistant talked to me, he suggested to call the management. I went down to find a phone and called the management. They said that they will send some one to help me open my room. I kept on waiting...8.00 am....8.30am...till 8.45am..finally some one came and give me the key. Praise God, I can enter my room now. I can sleep now.

I flash back and trying to get some lesson from it. I asked God what could the lesson I can learn from it. God said that some times we have to wait...till its time..I don't know that why during that time I did not feel panic or hopeless. I just feel there will be away out of this..but I don't know when..I did try my best but still nothing happen. Trust on God because God is under control and He will do His part in His time....that's is the BEST answer for us.

Reason to Praise

Wanna find some reason not to praise God? I do not think I can. There are many reasons in our life that we can use to praise God even more. Everyday we wake up and breath a new day arise as we can see the sun there.

This week it's a busy week for me. I had some papers due on this week. I think it's normal because we move almost to the middle of the semester. Working hard making the paper and submit it on time. Praise God I could able to meet all the due.

This we still working on Eva's visa. Trying to find the best way for her to join me here. Today I just submitted her application to NCKU, this is one of the possibility for her to join me. One thing that I believe is God is Under Control. He let everything happen for His purpose.

Then, I also got a confirmation from one of private University in Indonesia. The president said that he agreed to accommodate my needs in order to apply the scholarship from Indonesia' government. Praise God for it. This means that I have to go back home for the final agreement next winter vocation.

Tomorrow also I will join the first Indonesian Christian Fellowship in Tainan. We name it KAWANKITA (KeluargA mahasisWa Kristiani Indonesia di TAiwan), newly establish fellowship. I pray that this fellowship will bring a good impact for sorrounding here in Taiwan and back in Indonesia.

So, take your time...count His Blessing....and start to PRAISE HIM. There is no reason for us not to praise HIM...

Walking in God's Calling

How many of us usually claim that God called them?? Proudly speaking about God's calling in our life sometimes can be bias. How many of us can survive till the end? Or we just quit in the middle of our journey.

Let's take some quick lesson from Israelites. When God called Moses to lead his people out of Egypt, God really serious about it. The first respond of Moses was he needs some one who are good in speaking, then God sent Aron for him. As we know, the story told us that God brought them out with His Mighty hands. And yet some of them keep on murmuring in their journey. Then, we know the rest of the story, Moses and his generation did not enter the Canaan. Only, Joshua n Caleb' generation could enter the Canaan.

Some quick lesson from this story:

- When God calls, it means that He will take care and responsible for everything. Yes, sometime we are not ready. It's too sudden, too risk and too difficult to achieve. If we are in this situation, I believe that we never into the point of 100% trusting God. Because we like to compare to our past and always asking for "readiness" to walk in God's calling. This is the first step of trusting God. Like the Israelites story, even God had given them manna and meat in the desert; still it did not satisfy them. Remember this; If you walk with God in this step, God will always give you ENOUGH. Yes, sometimes it does not satisfy you but keep walking and trust Him.

-When God calls, it means He has something GREAT at the end of the Journey. God called the Israelites out of Egypt to the Promise Land. The end of the journey is Promise Land, the Land fulls with milk and honey. Moses and his generation did not fix their eyes and focus on God's Promise. They were busy with their daily needs, what would they eat? what would they wear?? etc. And what happened? When they were facing the people of Canaan, they were afraid because they look back to their physical condition and forget that the Mighty God was with them.

-When God calls, It means that He has fixed His eyes on you, He trusted you. This also applied when God called Moses with his people out of Egypt. God has put his trust to His people that they can walk through any kind situation to the Promise Land. But, what happened, even they had walked away. God still faithful, He rose new generation of the Israelites who can really enter Canaan. Joshua and his generation did it.

There will be a time when you walk with God in the "under cover". No body recognize you, just like Israelites walk in the desert. Jesus in his first 30 years, no body recognize him. This is the phase when God trains us, molds us, and purify our heart. Be patient because there will be something GREAT at the end. Even that nobody looks and counts you...keep walking...

After Happy Friday NIght...

Ehm.....What would I say??
I joined the Happy Friday Night, that what the called it. It is on Friday Night where all the student in ICID gather and listen to another student progress report and have Pizza. Last Friday was PhD student's turn. As the first year student we don't have to present that night. So, I just came for Pizza and listened to the 2nd and 3rd year student presentation. It gave some idea what kind of projects or researches are those PhD student are doing. I enjoyed it, especially the pizza...hehehehe...

Speaking about research, we have to find our own interest. It kinds a weird from the first time, finding out what is this department and what do they expect from us. I told my adviser that I need to discuss my research topic so I can start to read some material related to my topic.
Finally, I got my research topic. It's about Service Design. It's something new to me and even in the design studies. So, it requires me to read more and more....

I believe that as God sent me here, He will guide me and lead me to the victory....

Move to School Dormitory

Hey...today is the fourth day of my life in the NCKU dormitory. I decided to move because my wife had gone back to Indonesia. She needs to go back because of visa problem. Its hard though to be alone again. But, beyond that situation we believe that God has something for us.

I stay now in the Sheng Li Dorm no. 6 room 307, together with my Indonesian friend. His name is Bode Haryanto, a PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering and also my former faculty member during my undergraduate study. So, we had a wonderful time here together.

We are praying that the time will come soon for us to stay together again.

Sometimes.....in Our Life....

Yes...sometimes we come to the point of expecting that God will answer our prayer. We feel that we have asked Him and He will answer our prayer. But, what happen in the reality. Its way different from our expectation. In fact, God is under control of our life.

Thats what we experience last few days here. We struggling for Eva's visa, we need to extend her visa soon. As we come here, I got student visa and Eva has visitor visa and the counselor said that we can extend her visa as soon as I got my residency and complete all the papers. Then we did it but the authority said that I have to stay for one year here before I have my wife join me. Its weird because that regulation isn't in the written regulation that we can find. We went to the office in Kaohsiung and even to Taipei..but still the same answer. We tried about missionary visa but the officer kept in insisting that they have the authority to deny or accept the application. Then, we did our best. The final result is that Eva needs to go out and apply visa from outside Taiwan. She left on Oct 2, 2008 to Indonesia. We realize that God is under control in our lives. He controlled our lives and He knows the best for us. Like He said that all things work together in bringing good for those who trust him. Its sad though but we know that we can walk through it. So, I am alone here in Tainan and I am planning to move to the school dormitory so we can save for the visa work.

We know our purpose why should we stay here and why should we survive. As we walk with God, He is Emmanuel (God with Us). Nothing is impossible with Him. We have to fully trust Him all time, even sometimes it seems that far away from our expectation.

JOIN US in PRAYER

Hi...
I want to ask every one who reads this blog to pray with me. Its about my wife visa. We have tried our best to work on it. We had problem with the Bureau of Consular Affair. We had all the requirement papers complete as they require in their sites but when we got there, they said another things that I have to stay here for 1 year before I can have my wife stay here with me. THAT'S EMBARASING!!!!! We kept in arguing but still the officer cant give a satisfy answer. They asked us to call Taipei office.

So, we went to the church and we had some consultation with Ptr. Yohannes, a senior pastor in Daysping Ministry. We came out that we would try if my wife will apply for misionary visa which is allowed here in Taiwan. The Church Board had a meeting to decide and last sunday they told us that they aggreed about it and require my wife to do some ministry work in the church. They gave us a paper which we have to bring to BOCA in Taipei. But we can't go there today because all the offices and school are closed due to Jangmi Typhoon.

Please pray for our trip tomorrow early morning from here and for the visa processing. Its getting close to my wife' visa expired date which it Oct 2. We dont know what else that we need to do. All the things we can do is only trusting God as He led us to this place. He can do MIRACLE tomorrow as we submit the papers.

(Mar 11:24)

See You Again....

Today, all of the offices and schools are closed due to the Jangmi Typhoon in Taiwan since Saturday. Its many things happened since last time I wrote this blog.

I have Tainan City tour last Sept 20. It was fun because I met some of Indonesian friends as well others from different countries. In my class last week I decided to add 1 course so I have 10 credits for this semester. Its quite confuse though because I don't have any clear "requirements" to complete my PhD here. All the instructions are in Chinese. So, I have difficulty to understand it. Even, some of them are translated into English but still there are some different interpretation for some words. Over all, I doing fine in my class.

I also started my Chinese class. It is a beginner class. We were about 11 in the class and all are men. Wonderful...thanks we have woman teacher. Its fun because we learned the Chinese tones and we enjoy the class.

Dinner with Seniors

I had a welcome dinner with my seniors in ICID last night. Its a tradition for the 2nd year students to welcome freshmen for a dinner. This year, we are 6 freshmen in ICID; 3 foreigners and 3 local Taiwanese students. We went to Korean Restaurant near NCKU.

From the left side: Angela(Taiwanese); Yong, Taedon(Korean); me and Thomas(USA), all of us are freshmen.
At the right side: Sunny(Taiwanese 2nd year); Joe(Taiwanese 3rd year); Wednesday(Taiwanese 2nd year) and Ezra(Indonesian 2nd year).

We had a wonderful moment. I get to know my class mate and seniors. Among the foreigner students. I am the only one who can not speak in Mandarin. Taedon has been staying here quite long time, he finished his master here with Mandarin as instructions. Thomas a Taiwanese born American, his mother is Taiwanese. He was born here and raised in the US, he finished his master in Taiwan using Mandarin as language instructor. So, it means that I am the only foreigner who came here with "zero" knowledge of Mandarin. Anyway, I have enrolled in "Free Chinese Class" provided by the University and I will start my class next week.

The advantage for me is Thomas kept on translating the conversation to English, so I can follow what they are saying about. We talk about our background and why we are here in ICID. It's nice to get to know all of them. All the PhD students in ICID are around 13 students and only 4 foreign students.

ICID is the next adventure and I have to finish this race on time so I can move to the next level.

Moon Cakes Festival in Tainan

To day is Moon Cakes Festival or Mid-Autumn Festival. The Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month of the Chinese lunisolar calendar (usually around mid- or late-September in the Gregorian Calendar), a date that parallels the Autumn Equinox of the solar calendar. At this time, the moon is at its fullest and brightest, marking an ideal time to celebrate the abundance of the summer's harvest. The traditional food of this festival is the moon cake, of which there are many different varieties.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the two most important holidays in the Chinese calendar (the other being the Chinese Lunar New Year), and is a legal holiday in several countries. Farmers celebrate the end of the summer harvesting season on this date. Traditionally, on this day, Chinese family members and friends will gather to admire the bright mid-autumn harvest moon, and eat moon cakes and pomeloes together. It is also common to have barbecues outside under the moon, and to put pomelo rinds on one's head. Brightly lit lanterns are often carried around by children. Together with the celebration, there appear some special customs in different parts of the country, such as burning incense, planting sweet-olive trees, lighting lanterns on towers, and fire dragon dances. Shops selling mooncakes, before the festival, often display pictures of Chang'e, floating to the moon.

The sad things that we heard that the will be a Typhoon (Sinlaku) approaching Taiwan. It was announced that we should be careful. In fact there was strong wind since last Friday. The school even canceled the Tainan City Tour on Friday because of the Typhoon. So, here we are in the mid of the festival with typhoon.

Today we went to church with Monika, she has her sister come from Taipei. I know that the festival means a lot for Chinese people so they have to celebrate it together with their family. It's rainy all day, even in the church there were not so many people around.

One of our friend that we met in Church invited us to join their celebration. Her name is April Kao with Chinese name is Shu-Fen. She can speak English very well because she stayed for 13 years in Michigan and she is a faculty member of one university in Tainan. She picked us up at 7pm after picked her another friends. We had a very wonderful night although it's rain. We met a new friends who also a student of NCKU. Overall we had plenty of food and we full.

Praise God for bringing a new friend for us. As we never taught before, He works in HIS time. Some time we can not feel or see but believe that He is there working for our good.

Two days of NCKU Orientation

I have attended the two days freshman orientation at NCKU. It's good experience. I met other new students from Indonesia and get acquaintance with students from other countries as well. The first day of orientation its about Library and Campus tour. It's amazing to now that the Campus library has established for over seven decades and it has a lot of collections in it. It also has media center room and many discussion rooms can be used for study. Overall it's wonderful to have such library.

The campus tour led me to the heritage of the campus. NCKU was established in 1931 by Japanese Government. That's why the earliest Presidents were Japanese also. It's considered as second top University in Taiwan and has been granted a quite big amount of Government fund. As of now, NCKU has around six hundred Intenrnational Students come from sixty different countries.

I just want to praise God for leading me to this place and study in NCKU. I never imagine that before and never dream about it. One thing that I know is to follow God's will and be obedient servant.

Join me in prayer for God's will in our life as we stay in Tainan and I finish my program as soon as posible. We can not stay too long here because as it is written:

於是對門徒說:「要收的莊稼多,做工的人少。Matt. 9:37

Registration Day at NCKU

Today Sept 8, 2008 is the day of registration at NCKU. I went to the school early morning at 8am. Its too early for people here, in fact they start around 9am. So, I was the first International student who registered today...Not bad..at least I can prove that I am a good student. hehehehe...

I passed through several steps then I went to my department ICID. Someone assisted me and picked me up. I enroll in four courses this semester. Although I do not have any clear idea about the subject but they said that do not enroll too many because it will kill you...I think they probably right in fact I am in PhD program now...I need more time to work on research.

I finished my registration at 11 am..it's fast, isnt it?? So. I went home after that because I know Eva is waiting for me. I will come back on Wednesday to join the camous tour and freshmen orientation.

Lord, thank you for allowing me to continue study and I pray that You help me in my study so I can finish it on time....

New Community....

Today, we were invited by Monika, our landlord to join her church. We taught that we have not decided which church to go, so we decided to join her. She said that that the church has English Service. We notice that its hard to find people who can speak English in this town.

The church name is Dayspring Christian Church. It's not far from our place. The church situation was good. People are very warm, they great us and welcoming us. The senior pastor's name is Johannes Kuehhorm, He is Germany married to Taiwanese. He welcome us personally and introduce us to some of his member who are from NCKU. That was awesome.

Although we can not fully understand the song for worship but we enjoy it. Especially meeting other Christian family from different country, that was a very wonderful moment. We feel that we are in our home church in Indonesia. Some of the member even invited us to join their celebration.

Overall, we enjoy our first sunday in Tainan. We praise God for bringing such a wonderful people in our life......

Finally, We got number for our Cell

Talking about cell phone number, you might not believe that it's quite hard to get one here. Since we arrived, I keep on trying to get one but it can't.

All the cellular operators require a Taiwan ID, and for us foreigner they will give ARC (alien residence certificate) in Taiwan. I have applied that but it takes 2 weeks. So, it seems impossible to get any number. I keep asking to different operator but again the answer is the same.

I think, maybe I have to wait till Sept 18 after I get my ARC to apply for it. But, I cant passion with that. I asked my Indonesian friend at night when we on line, he said that I can apply one at 7 eleven with only showing my passport. The following day, I went there and they gave me a SIM card with a number after they fill up a registration form which required my passport and my national ID. It's ok whether it took quite long time because I have to write my home address in Chinese. I had someone help me read the address name in the map after I draw my address. It's a nice experience.....

So, here is our number : +886 955 385 241. U can call, send txt now.....

Pertama, asyik banget. tengah jalan, kaki mulai cenut2. Pas sampe, bukan cuman ketek yang basah. Baju juga bisa diperas kayaknya. Soalnya sepedaan di siang hari. Panaaasss rasa dipanggang....

Urus surat2 selesai jg. Ketemu ma orang2 Indo yang jadi TKI. liat muka mereka nelongso banget. clingak clinguk kayak orang kampung masuk kota. Kasian jg liatnya. Tapi tau yang kulakukan? Diem seribu bahasa. Lagi males ngobrol. lagi capek.

Pulang rumah, langsung makan siang. Trus istirahat sejenak.

but its okay. meski BT, ganti menu dinner. makan nugget aja, ma sambel...hmmmm...lezat jg....untung suami ga bawel. apa aja yang kumasak, langsung diembat. namanya jg lapar.....

Hmmm...serasa dunia milik berdua... :P

New Journey in Tainan

Hidup tuh memang butuh petualangan. Rasanya klo ga punya petualangan, kita juga minim pengalaman. Dan sekarang, petualangan kami masuk babak baru. Tainan..

So, ga masalah.

Haleluya....

Tainan, Our Next Stop....

It says that Tainan is one of the ancient city in Taiwan. Located in Southern part of the island, Tainan is 30 minutes far from Kaohsiung a nearest International airport.

We arrived here midnight on Sept 2, 2008. Praise God, that He sent a fellow Christian who is also the owner of our apartment to help us. Her name is Monika, she is Taiwanese and Tainanese.
She picked us up in the Tainan Train station and brought us to our new apartment. We could not sleep well last night because we were so tired.

Today, we just take a tour by walking around the city. We found out that most the people can't speak English. It's hard for us to communicate. We went to Immigration office for applying my ARC. After that we went to buy some kitchen material so we can cook our own food. It is much cheaper if we cook by our selves.

The city looks nice, it is very traditional look with modern touch. We like it. Most people here use scooter and bike. I think we will have another tour again tomorrow since the owner of the house allowing us to use her bike.

God, thanks for bringing us to this city. We trust you as we start our new live in Taiwan. As you be with us in Philippines, we believe that You be with us in Tainan.....

Cheers....

Good Bye Philippines......

Sept 2, 2008 we left NAIA airport in Manila after we stay for 2,2 years there. It was a wonderful moment for me. I spent my 2 years study in Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary in Taytay. Now, its time for me to go. Its sad to leave people there. But, again we have to move and fulfill God's heart for us.

As I flash back my years in the Philippines, I just want to testify that GOD is GOOD. He is faithful God. I have witnessed that He never leave me alone. He guides me to meet a very special people there and provide everything I need.

I just want to thank people in APNTS for the time that we have spent together. Donahues, I learned a lot from you as we worked together. Kwons, thanks for the time of advising and knowledge transfer. Mrs. Hatcher, thanks for the warm welcoming us for movie night, prayer n motivation to be better teacher. Mrs. Silvernail, thank for your prayer. Mijares, thanks for the support. Spring of the Spirit Ministry, thanks for the wonderful place to share, experience and ministering together. Kim, Sun Bun, thanks for the very moment time that we have spent. Sian Man, Ruel, Ronilo, Rober, David, Kenji thanks for the friendships.

We will never forget the moment that we spent together. Keep moving as we wlalk through God's will in our life.

Independence Days....

Today we celebrate 63rd Indonesian Independence Day. We went to Indonesian Embassy in Manila right after the Sunday Service. We enjoyed it very much. We missed the first part of the ceremony but we joined the "Thanks Giving" Celebration.

We meet our "old friends" there, and they invited us to join the 3rd Church Anniversary next Sunday. We said that we will be there.

After that we went home but, we dropped by to Robinson Galeria. We need to find some sandals there. We got what we want. On the way coming home, Eva saw coloring hair stand. I told her, go and color your hair. After some discussion, she went there. I had to wait around one and half hours for her. It's ok, I went around and have "eye shopping".

We arrived at home at 6:00pm. It was a very tiring day but we enjoy it a lot. Walking together and spend our day after the busiest week.
